EL LAGO Located on the west shore of Taylor Lake, a smaller lake at Clear Lakes northern shore. El Lago has particular historical significance as it was the location of Pirate Jean Lafittes hideout.

Ed White Elementary School - Campus Rateing Exemplary. Our school opened in 1965 as El Lago Elementary. The name was changed in 1967 to Edward H. White II Elementary in honor of the life and accomplishments of Edward Higgins White II -- the first American to walk in space. He perished in a tragic fire while training for the first manned Apollo mission. We are proud of the legacy he has left this school and community. Seabrook Intermediate School - Campus Rateing Exemplary.
